The Chandler Limited REDD Mixing System is the first EMI recording console released in over 50 years, bringing the legendary sound of REDD, TG, and RS desks together in one fully modular, modern system. Developed over six years by Chandler Limited in collaboration with Abbey Road Studios, the REDD Mixing System lets you design your ideal console, small or large, tube or solid state, tracking or mixing without compromise. The REDD Mixing System continues the long legacy of revolutionary EMI recording desks. From the REDD.37 introduced in 1958, to the REDD.51 in 1964, and the TG12345 MKI in 1968, EMI consoles have shaped countless timeless recordings. Artists such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and The Rolling Stones relied on these desks, as well as iconic film scores including Raiders of the Lost Ark.
This 16-channel configuration available from Vintage King includes:
This 16-channel configuration of the Chandler Limited REDD Mixing System includes 16 TG MKIV Input Cassettes for classic solid-state tone, a matching TG Series Buss Cassette, a versatile Control Room Monitoring Cassette, two power supply units, a full complement of power and audio cables to connect it all, and a JamRacks Mastering Desk to mount everything in. Pairing transformer-balanced Class A circuitry with flexible bussing, discrete monitoring, and vintage style, this is the ultimate recording and mixing console for studios that want timeless sound with the flexibility to grow and adapt to changing workflows.
TG MKIV INPUT CASSETTE
The TG MKIV Input Cassette is a Class A solid-state input module for the Chandler Limited REDD Mixing System, combining a Class A TG2-style preamp with a four-band Curve Bender EQ. The transformer-balanced input stage provides a high-headroom mic preamp with coarse and fine gain controls for dialing in just the right tone, while the Curve Bender EQ offers four bands of versatile tone-shaping. The signature EMI-style curved fader features LED illumination for a modern touch, plus a toggleable pan control, four sends, and an illuminated mute button.
TG BUSS CASSETTE
The TG Buss Cassette for the REDD Mixing System provides stereo summing and master bus processing with a Class A TG2-style bus gain structure. This module offers fine and coarse gain controls, a six-position EQ with preset NAB/IEC curves, and stereo send masters with switchable insert points and polarity. Two EMI-style curved faders with backlighting offer smooth level control, plus wet/dry blend per channel, toggleable inserts, and illuminated mute buttons. Real analog VU meters in the classic stacked layout help you keep an eye on your bus levels.
CONTROL ROOM MONITORING CASSETTE
An essential piece of the REDD Mixing System is the Control Room Monitoring Cassette: a dedicated monitoring center with a discrete op-amp design for ultra-clean monitoring and flexible source selection. It supports selectable monitoring for up to seven user-configurable sources, speaker selection for three monitor sets, and talkback routing to busses, sends, all channels, or audio out. Monitoring functions include Mono, Dim, Mute, Mute L, Mute R, and Pole R (phase reverse), enabling quick checks for phase, balance, and mono compatibility. This module streamlines any session by centralizing critical monitoring and cueing without the need for external monitor controllers.
Chandler Limited offers a range of additional cassettes to expand your REDD Mixing System with more channels and a wider palette of tonal options. The REDD Tube Input Cassette recreates the older EMI REDD tube circuitry with EF86 tube pre/EQ topology and switchable Pop and Classic EQ curves, the RS Tube Buss Cassette provides tube-based summing, the 12-Channel Expander Cassette adds twelve Class A TG2-style amplifiers and transformers, and the upcoming MKI TG Cassette blends the warmth of vintage germanium transistors with TG Series clarity. A tube power supply is available for the REDD modules, allowing you to mix and match tube and solid-state topologies in the same Chandler Limited REDD Mixing System.
The Chandler Limited REDD Mixing System unifies REDD, TG, and RS circuit families into a single modular platform developed in collaboration with Abbey Road Studios. Each cassette is handcrafted with transformer-balanced inputs and outputs, hand-soldered PCBs, eyelet wiring, and no surface-mount components, preserving the sonic character that defined recordings by The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and others. The REDD Mixing System's vintage-style faders, transformer-driven dynamics, and Pultec-style NAB/IEC stereo buss EQ deliver musical tone.
