CLASSIC STUDIO SOUND, STREAMLINED DESIGN
The WA-87jr SE is a streamlined version of the iconic ‘87-style microphone, delivering pristine top-end clarity and professional vocal polish with a modern cardioid condenser design. Combining one of the most celebrated vocal condenser capsules of all time with carefully designed contemporary circuitry, the WA-87jr SE delivers analog warmth and pristine detail on sources like vocals, podcast/streaming, acoustic guitar, drums, pianos, and more.
TRUE VINTAGE CAPSULE REPRODUCTION
At the heart of the WA-87jr SE is a single-backplate version of the WA-87 professional microphone’s K87-style capsule. The capsule faithfully recreates the design and frequency response of vintage ‘87 microphones revered for their focused, polished results. Designed with a fixed cardioid polar pattern, the WA-87jr SE picks up sound directly in front of the mic while rejecting unwanted noise from the sides and rear. Ideal for vocals, instruments, podcasting, or streaming, even in less-than-perfect acoustic spaces.
STUDIO-GRADE SOUND WITHOUT THE FUSS
The WA-87jr SE delivers professional studio sound straight out of the box, with a discrete signal path, exceptional dynamic range, and ultra-low self-noise. Its simplicity makes it a powerful choice for creators who want a no-compromise tone without a complex setup. The WA-87jr SE includes a custom hard mount and premium leather storage pouch, making it easy to pack, protect, and position your mic whether you’re in a professional, project, or home/podcast environment. Like all Warm Audio gear, every single WA-87jr SE is meticulously hand-tested and inspected by trained technicians with a passion for making music in Austin, TX USA.
