Universal Audio UAFX Enigmatic '82 Overdrive Special Amp Pedal

Product Description

The Universal Audio UAFX Enigmatic '82 Overdrive Special Amp lets you experience the heavenly tube amp sound that captivated legends like John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Joe Bonamassa, and Carlos Santana. Perfectly capturing not one, but numerous custom Overdrive Special amps spanning 30 years — with their fabled touch-sensitivity, colorful preamp choices, tone stack mods, plus carefully curated mic and speaker cabinets — Enigmatic '82 is like having a handmade amp, built just for you.

GET YOUR HANDS ON THREE DECADES OF SUPER-RARE ODS TONE

Universal Audio wore out the rolodex to get exclusive access to numerous original Overdrive Special amps, spanning three essential eras of these mythical tone monsters. From the 1970's Santa Cruz models that brought the ODS into the light, to later LA iterations in the '80s and '90s used on countless legendary sessions, Enigmatic '82 puts the sound of these fabled amps under your fingertips.

BUILD YOUR OWN BOUTIQUE AMP IN CUSTOM MODE

Looking for that rare tone that's entirely your own? Flip Enigmatic '82 into Custom mode and go under the hood to design your own unique ODS voice in the UAFX mobile app. Mix and match different amp modifications, from the FET preamp and HRM overdrive voicings, right down to the late '80s Skyliner tone stack option, output tube bias and power supply stiffness, and more.

PLAY ESSENTIAL ROCK & JAZZ MODES

A hallmark of the original amps, Enigmatic '82's Jazz and Rock modes let you enjoy shimmery cloud-like cleans to creamy overdrive that blooms with dynamics. Whether you favor intricate chord work or expressive lead playing, you'll instantly find the classic ODS sound that responds to every nuance of your touch and preserves note clarity when overdriven.
