Product Description

Developed in partnership with Ampete Engineering, the Two Notes Torpedo Captor X Pro sets the benchmark in forward-thinking amplifier control. Its mission is simple: empower players of all walks with total backline authority whether it’s driving a cabinet at manageable volumes to delivering a pristine studio-grade direct feed. Combining switchable Reactive and Resistive load voicing with precision programmable passive attenuation and embedded Torpedo processing, Captor X Pro stands as the most advanced expression of Two Notes' digital load box line to date.

Going direct? Captor X Pro’s DynIR engine fuses stereo or dual-mono cabinet simulation with studio-grade mic selection and immersive room control. Pair this with a studio-grade FX suite and pro-spec connectivity arsenal, and Captor X Pro is primed to simultaneously control and elevate any backline.

TORPEDO REMOTE READY

Pair Captor X Pro with a computer, tablet, or mobile device and unleash a world of tactile tonal control with Torpedo Remote. Dive into 24 expertly curated DynIR virtual cabinets, each loaded with 8 microphone models and 12 studio-grade room simulations. 128 preset slots are available, each with unrestricted access to every editable parameter within Captor X Pro’s DSP architecture—including virtual load shaping, cab selection, mic selection, placement, room response, routing, post-FX shaping, and more. No indirection. No bottlenecks. Just direct, uncompromising control of the mic’d and post-processed signal path.

DIRECT ACCESS

Every player knows: great tone lives in the details. That’s why Captor X Pro places every editable parameter front and center, all driven by a radiant color display, dedicated quick-access buttons, and twin rotary encoders. The result is immediate, hands-on control—no loss of focus, no broken flow, no abstraction, no detours. From load behavior and attenuation to routing and cab sim refinements, adjustments are fast, tactile, and deliberate. Every detail is visible, reachable, and under command the instant it matters.

FORGED IN PARTNERSHIP

Engineered in partnership with Ampete Engineering, Captor X Pro distills Two notes’ mastery of load boxes and cabinet simulation through Ampete’s uncompromising approach to switching and signal-path engineering. In Captor X Pro, reactive behavior, attenuation, direct output, and control are united under one banner—built from the ground up for professional rigs under real-world pressure.

MULTIPLE IMPEDANCE, MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY

Under the hood, Captor X Pro’s fully re-imagined load design is engineered under an ethos of retaining feel, response, and tone without compromise. Packing multi-impedance capability, 150-Watt power handling, and switchable Reactive and Resistive load profiles, Captor X Pro delivers pro-spec performance and maximum tonal flexibility in equal measure.

STEP IT DOWN

Captor X Pro’s auto-transformer passive step attenuator delivers multiple fixed attenuation steps—all the way down to total silence. No sweep. No guesswork. Every move deliberate. Pair attenuation with Captor X Pro’s switchable load voicings to further shape how the amp reacts under reduced volume—selecting Natural, Presence, or Resistive modes to subtly influence feel, resonance, and attack. From fine adjustment to full attenuation, Captor X Pro maintains tonal integrity while giving you meaningful control over how the amp behaves at any level.

TRIPLE-VOICED LOAD ARCHITECTURE

Why settle for a single fixed response? Captor X Pro runs a triple-voiced load architecture—two reactive voicings and one resistive mode—delivering absolute authority over the companion amplifier’s feel and response. Engage Reactive – Natural for Two notes’ authentic speaker-like load response, replicating the impedance behavior of a real cabinet for a familiar, organic amp-to-load interaction. Switch to Reactive – Presence for greater top-end definition and a more subdued resonance peak, tightening articulation while keeping movement and harmonic detail intact. Select the Resistive mode and the response firms up with a flatter impedance curve and warmer tonal characteristics—focused, immediate, and consistent when precision takes priority. Three load voicings - three distinct behaviors - adapt the character as required.

THE HEART OF YOUR BACKLINE

Consolidate your backline into a single, unified system via Captor X Pro’s mono pre- and stereo post-FX loops. Position dynamic- and frequency-based processors pre the embedded Torpedo processing, while time-based effects live after the DSP, preserving clarity, stereo width, and separation throughout the signal path. The mono pre-FX return doubles as a line-level input, allowing external preamps and modelers to feed directly into Torpedo processing and the stereo Line/DI outputs. For added flexibility, the mono pre-FX send can be repurposed as a pure, unprocessed amp DI—exactly what the amplifier delivers, nothing added.
