Steven Slate Audio VSX Immersion One Planar Magnetic Open Back Headphones

The Steven Slate Audio VSX Immersion One is a one-of-a-kind immersive monitoring system combining reference-grade open-back headphones and advanced software modeling to deliver accurate monitoring in any situation. Featuring an open-back design with custom-tuned planar magnetic drivers, the headphones themselves offer lifelike spatial imaging, extended frequency response, and comfort for long sessions. Paired with the included VSX Platinum software bundle, the Steven Slate Audio VSX Immersion One accurately reproduces more than 24 modeled acoustic environments with exceptional realism. For engineers who need access to an immersive soundstage at all times, the VSX Immersion One headphone system delivers.

IMMERSIVE HEADPHONE MONITORING

Immersive audio is on the rise, and the Steven Slate Audio VSX Immersion One headphone system is purpose-built to provide an immersive soundstage that rivals professional studios. These unique planar magnetic headphones work in tandem with Steven Slate Audio’s VSX modeling engine, translating multi-dimensional room and speaker simulations into a convincing, three-dimensional headphone experience. Just like with closed-back VSX models, all you need to do is load the VSX Platinum plug-in on your master bus or monitoring chain and select a room or speaker model to monitor with reference-grade sound and spatial accuracy. With VSX Immersion One open-back headphones, you can mix more confidently and make better panning, EQ, and spatialization decisions without needing a full speaker array.

PLANAR MAGNETIC DRIVERS

The Steven Slate Audio VSX Immersion One open-back headphones feature custom-tuned planar magnetic drivers with an ultra-thin (one-micron) diaphragm for high-resolution sound with almost no distortion. Planar drivers provide ultra-fast transient response and uniform driver motion, which helps improve phase and frequency response. Compared to traditional open-back headphones, VSX Immersion One's planar drivers offer enhanced detail and spatial accuracy to help your mixes translate to both high-end and consumer playback systems.

OPEN-BACK DESIGN

The open-back design and flame-maple wood earcups of the Steven Slate Audio VSX Immersion One provide a natural, transparent soundstage with impressive depth and imaging. Unlike closed-back headphones, the Immersion One's open-back architecture reduces internal reflections and standing waves, producing a more speaker-like presentation with airy highs and realistic spatial cues.

VSX PLATINUM SOFTWARE BUNDLE

VSX Platinum is the software companion that unlocks the full potential of the Steven Slate Audio VSX Immersion One headphones. The bundle includes more than two dozen spatial models, including classic studios, mastering rooms, club systems, car sound systems, and consumer devices, so you can audition mixes across real-world playback scenarios with only your VSX Immersion One headphones. Available in AAX, AU, VST2, and VST3 formats, the VSX Platinum plug-in requires a free iLok account for licensing, giving you access to ongoing updates at no additional cost. Steven Slate Audio VXS Platinum's precise convolution and modeling algorithms let you switch between references quickly, compare translation in different environments, and finalize mixes with confidence that they will hold up in the real world.
