Product Description
The Shure SM57 unidirectional (cardioid) dynamic microphone is one of the most popular microphones ever produced. It is exceptional for musical instrument pickup or for vocals. With its bright, clean sound and carefully contoured presence rise, the SM57 is ideal for live sound reinforcement and recording. It has an extremely effective cardioid pickup pattern which isolates the main sound source while minimizing background noise. In the studio, it is excellent for recording drums, guitar, and woodwinds. For musical instruments or vocals, the SM57 is a consistent choice of professional performers. Its outstanding performance, legendary reliability, and diversity of application make this "workhorse" the choice of performers, producers, and sound engineers the world over.
VINTAGE KING EXCLUSIVE TAB-FUNKENWERK T58 TRANSFORMER MOD
Experience the difference that a quality transformer can bring to your mic with T58 dynamic microphone transformer. We modded a batch of SM57s to include this upgrade. The T58 was designed to improve the high frequency response as well as the clarity of the source signal throughout the frequency range. Not only do we find that this simple mod provides more clarity and presence, but also brings more focus to the low end. Use this mic to really bring life to your electric guitar or your close miked drum tracks.
THE DYNAMIC MICROPHONE FOR STUDIO OR STAGE
The SM57 is the most popular choice for a professional musician who wants to mic up their amplified or acoustic instrument such as a guitar amp or bass amp, saxophone, trumpet or drums. It is used on stages and in studios around the world. The contoured frequency response with its presence rise, helps the instrument cut better through the main mix. The extremely effective cardioid pickup pattern isolates the main sound source and will simply record what you point at it while rejecting sound from the rear.
BRIGHT AND CLEAN SOUND
The SM57 features a distinct frequency and presence boost. This presence boost offers crispness to drums and clarity to guitar amps. A snare crack. An arpeggiated chord. A powerful saxophone solo. The notes that flow from your instrument connects your audience on a visceral level.
