The VNE utilizes the advanced gain reduction circuit introduced in D.W. Fearn VT-7 Stereo Tube Compression Amplifier, as well as a unique Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control circuit. The result of these two circuits working in tandem is a musical and versatile compression style that masterfully manages dynamics without leaving a trace of unwanted artifacts on your source material. In terms of hardware, each component in the VNE has been handpicked for superior audio performance and unyielding reliability, ensuring the best sonic results on any source and in any session.
SIMPLE, RESPONSIVE CONTROLS
The VNE keeps things simple and intuitive with controls for Threshold, Attack, Release, and Gain. A three-way rotary switch adds a layer of functionality, enabling compression bypass or the insertion of a High-Pass Filter (HPF) in the side-chain. By gently rolling off frequencies around 100 Hz, the HPF prevents low-frequency transients from overly modulating audio levels without hollowing out your signal, ensuring a controlled and polished output.
