The SSL2 utilizes two class-leading analog microphone preamps and state-of-the-art 24-bit/192 kHz converters to deliver studio-quality recordings. The rear panel is sleek and simple with two studio-grade Neutrik mic/line combo jacks, two balanced monitor outputs, and a single headphone output.
The front panel features an ergonomic design for streamlined workflow, with easy-access controls for phantom power, input selection and more. Each preamp features a 5-segment LED meter for a super-simple visual level reference. Quickly dial in the perfect headphone mix with a dedicated headphone control and low-latency monitor mix control for blending between the direct and USB inputs.

Perfect
This is the best audio interface ever SSL rocks 💥💥
The SSL2 interface is great. I actually have two for different computers. One is a 2 and the other a 2+.
For a simple, especially home setup it's perfect. They're very quiet and don't introduce any unwanted noise or color into my recordings. The pre's? I also have a 1073 clone and have done a/b comparisons. very close and hard to tell the difference, just not as many options obviously as far as gain structure, hpf, that kind of thing. The 4K button? I never use it but it has that high end bump if you want it. Has normal latency like most interfaces especially at this price range. But the input/monitor mix for headphones helps get the mix right. So with that being considered it's great for small (a few tracks) mixes where latency is manageable even without low latency recording enabled (in PT.). But for large mixes, just be ok with not using any effects on the record track while recording if low latency is enabled. The knobs feel solid and have that soft feel when turning. This unit would be awesome if it had 1 more input and insert points or direct outs.Awesome product with great sound effect! Loving it!!!
We've been using the SSL2+ for broadcast voice tracking remotely with an SM7b and the results are clean and silky, especially with the 4K button engaged. Love it! Just be sure to pair with lower-impedance headphones as the amp only has modest power.
