The Zeppelin Design Labs Cortado Xe Pro Contact Microphone is a compact version of the Cortado MkIII. The Xe features the same piezo and JFET preamp design, same balanced XLR output, but everything — sensor, preamp, cable comes packed into a single all-steel housing that's just 26mm across and 11mm tall. No separate chassis. Plug it straight into phantom power and go. The all-steel housing is rugged, well-shielded, and magnetic, so it can mount with a magnet instead of adhesive. The Xe is Phantom powered with a balanced XLR - no batteries and no DI box required. The Xe is perfect if you're looking for the smallest, simplest pro contact mic that just works. Think mandolins, banjos, violins, tight spaces on a guitar body.
