The Teegarden Audio Magic Tone MT210-B is a mastering-level dual-channel Baxandall-style equalizer with low and high bands of ±5 dB tone control. There are numerous Baxandall-style program EQs, and Teegarden's goal was to simplify the process for truly useful tone management on stereo or mono sources and to maintain absolute phase coherency between channels when the device is engaged. Numerous mastering and live sound mix engineers have told us they love having a Broadband Low/High Frequency Tone Control as the final step in a Stereo Mix, but were often bothered by the smear and unwanted coloration left in the stereo image, causing it to fold in on itself and be "less stereo."

Teegarden tackles stereo imaging issues through their own unique analog circuitry, careful selection of the broadband shelving center frequencies, impedance matching, and precision trimming of the gain structure of each Tone Control Band. With their history of using top-quality components that have been double-blind A/B tested by some of the best ears in the industry, Teegarden feel the Magic Tone brings a new level of precision and confidence to the device you need for the “icing on the cake” of your mix.

The Magic Tone is perfect for individual sources too. Often it is all that’s needed to help an instrument or vocal stand out and cut through a mix without getting louder. The Magic Tone is a +4 dBu line-level operating device, with up to +26 dB of headroom before clipping for those of you who like to drive your analog gear to the highest levels.

There are three output modes on the Magic Tone MT210B:

• 1: BYP (True Bypass)
• 2: IN (EQ Engage: Single-Ended Transformer-less Output)
• 3: XFMR (EQ Engage: Nickel-Based 600:600 Transformer Output)
