Product Description

Please note: This software is an upgrade version for registered owners of Cubase AI.

Steinberg Cubase Elements 16 is the smart start for anyone ready to make music with Cubase. It gives you everything you need to record, produce, and mix in a simple, focused package, with nothing in the way of your ideas. Elements shares the same pristine sound quality and ease of use that have made Cubase one of the world’s most popular recording and production solutions, and its intuitive workflow is designed to get you making music fast. Seven virtual instruments and libraries, 45 audio effects, and more than 20 GB of samples and loops give you a complete set of sounds and tools from the moment you install it, so you can start creating right away. MIDI editing, audio recording and editing, and a capable mixing environment let you take songs from first idea to finished track, whether you’re writing on your own, recording a band, or producing electronic music. Composition tools like Chord Pads and the Chord Track help you build progressions and spark ideas, even if you don’t have formal musical training. Because it comes from the company behind VST, Cubase Elements also supports third-party VST 3 instruments and effects, so you can expand your sound as you grow. As your projects get bigger, Elements is the perfect foundation for your Cubase journey, with a clear path to Artist and Pro.

WHAT’S NEW IN CUBASE ELEMENTS 16

Cubase Elements 16 adds new tools that make it easier than ever to turn ideas into music. VocalTouch is a streamlined vocal plug-in that helps you shape polished vocal sounds with quick, intuitive control, so you can get a great vocal without building a long chain of processors. In the Key Editor, the new Strum feature adds natural timing and feel to programmed chords, from subtle variations to dramatic strummed performances. Stretch lets you resize melodies, chord progressions, and basslines to fit your song and add natural accelerandos and ritardandos with a single gesture. The new Lyrics feature lets you write and edit words directly alongside your MIDI notes, with fast step entry and controls for pronunciation and language. Omnivocal Basic is a lightweight vocal production tool for sketching vocal ideas quickly, keeping songwriting moving. Five new sample packs (Afro House, Beats & Breaks, K-Pop, Latin Vibes, and Organic Sessions) deliver inspiring sounds and fresh starting points for your next projects. New technical and genre-based FX mastering presets help you take mixes closer to release. Waves Illugen integration connects Cubase with Waves’ sample generator so you can create and import custom samples with minimal interruption, and every Cubase 16 user receives a two-month Waves Illugen subscription voucher in their Steinberg account.

AUDIO FEATURES

Cubase Elements 16 is built on the same high-quality audio engine as the rest of the Cubase family, with low-latency recording and pristine sound quality. Flexible recording modes and monitoring tools help you capture great performances, whether you’re tracking vocals, guitars, or a full band, and the MixConsole gives you channel strips, effects, routing, and automation to shape a polished mix. With 45 included audio effects, you have the essentials for EQ, dynamics, reverb, delay, and creative processing, plus side-chaining for pumping dynamics and cleaner, more controlled mixes. AudioWarp lets you adjust timing and alignment with precision, and the redesigned tempo detection workflow delivers better results in less time, making it easy to match imported songs and recordings to your project. The new VocalTouch plug-in makes vocal polishing fast and approachable, and the new FX mastering presets give you technical and genre-based starting points for release-ready results. Cubase Elements 16 also adds support for importing AAC and M4A files, so you can bring in audio from more sources, such as voice memo recordings. Seven virtual instruments and libraries and more than 20 GB of samples and loops round out a complete production toolkit, giving you plenty of sounds to build tracks in any genre.

WORKFLOW ENHANCEMENTS

Cubase Elements 16 is designed to help you learn quickly and stay creative. New Guided Tours introduce the Cubase interface step by step, giving new users a friendlier way to get started. Quick Help offers context-aware explanations in the Left Zone or a floating window, so you can learn what each feature does as you work. The redesigned Settings window brings preferences, key commands, project setup, audio connections, and more into one searchable workspace, with changes applied instantly while you keep working. The extended ASIO-Guard pre-processing buffer gives demanding projects with lots of tracks and plug-ins more processing headroom for smoother playback, and Ableton Link support keeps Cubase in sync with compatible apps and devices. Rename Controller lets you replace generic MIDI controller names with labels that match your instruments and hardware, making automation and controller editing easier to read. Faster plug-in handling and more flexible drag-and-drop workflows speed up everyday tasks, and the redesigned Pool provides cleaner, more efficient media management. Cubase Elements 16 also supports the latest Windows MIDI platform, preparing your studio for the next generation of MIDI devices in Windows 11. Together, these refinements remove friction from the creative process, so you can spend less time setting up and more time making music.
