Steinberg Cubase Artist 16 Update from Artist 6-11 - Electronic Delivery

Product Description

Steinberg Cubase Artist 16 is the complete creative environment for musicians and producers who want depth, flexibility, and the freedom to take their ideas further. It’s the version most serious Cubase producers call home, with everything you need to produce, mix, and release and nothing missing from the creative process. Artist shares the same pristine sound quality and ease of use found throughout the Cubase family, along with the professional tools used in chart-level productions every day. Unlimited audio, instrument, and MIDI tracks let your projects grow without limits, while 11 virtual instruments and libraries, 73 audio effects, and more than 20 GB of samples and loops give you a complete studio from the start. Deep Key and Drum Editors, controller editing, Logical Editors, MIDI plug-ins, and detailed quantization make Cubase Artist especially powerful for MIDI-heavy production, and the Drum Machine and Pattern Sequencer make building beats fast and intuitive. VariAudio brings integrated pitch and timing correction for polished vocals. Composition tools like Chord Pads, Chord Track, and Scale Assistant help you explore harmonies and melodies, whether you’re starting from a single idea or developing a full arrangement. From electronic music and songwriting to band recording and orchestral composition, Cubase Artist 16 feels at home across genres and production styles.

WHAT’S NEW IN CUBASE ARTIST 16

Cubase Artist 16 brings new creative tools and faster workflows to every stage of production. Instrument Stacks combine multiple VST instruments, sampler tracks, and drum tracks into one playable track with per-layer filtering and unified control, so building rich, layered sounds takes seconds instead of minutes. DrumChain is a dedicated drum multi-effects processor that adds punch, clarity, and low-end weight with ease, and VocalTouch helps you shape polished vocals with quick, intuitive controls. The new Module FM library expands HALion Sonic with more than 200 presets for contemporary leads, keys, basses, and textures. In the Key Editor, the new Strum feature makes chords feel natural and expressive, from subtle timing variations to dramatic strummed performances. Stretch lets you reshape melodies, chord progressions, and basslines to fit your song and add accelerandos and ritardandos with a single gesture, and Lyrics lets you add and edit words directly alongside your MIDI notes. Five new sample packs, covering Afro House, Beats & Breaks, K-Pop, Latin Vibes, and Organic Sessions, give you fresh starting points. Omnivocal Basic sketches vocal ideas quickly, and new FX mastering presets take mixes closer to release. Waves Illugen integration lets you create custom samples without leaving your flow, and it comes with a two-month subscription voucher.

PROFESSIONAL AUDIO TOOLS

Cubase Artist 16 delivers professional sound and performance with low-latency recording, flexible routing, and a full-featured MixConsole. Flexible channel strips, effects, automation, and comprehensive mixing tools give you complete control over your mix, and 73 included effects cover everything from EQ and dynamics to creative processing. Flexible recording modes, comping, and monitoring tools help you stay focused on capturing the right take, whether you’re tracking a full band or layering parts on your own. VariAudio puts pitch, timing, and intonation editing directly inside Cubase, so you can perfect every vocal without leaving your project. AudioWarp provides precise control over timing and alignment, and the redesigned tempo detection workflow delivers better results in less time, making it easy to match imported songs and recordings to your project tempo. The Sampler Track and Drum Machine gain real-time pitch detection for faster sample tuning and phase inversion for tighter, more focused drum layering. Side-chaining is built in for pumping dynamics and cleaner mixes, and the new DrumChain and VocalTouch plug-ins make it quick to dial in punchy drums and polished vocals. New technical and genre-based mastering presets help you finish faster, and AAC and M4A import makes it easier to bring in audio from more sources.

WORKFLOW ENHANCEMENTS

Cubase Artist 16 includes a wide range of workflow refinements that keep you creating instead of configuring. The redesigned Settings window brings preferences, key commands, project setup, audio connections, and more into one searchable workspace. Changes apply instantly in a non-modal window, so you never have to stop working to make an adjustment. The extended ASIO-Guard pre-processing buffer gives demanding projects with many tracks and plug-ins more processing headroom for smoother playback. Ableton Link support keeps Cubase in sync with compatible apps and devices, making it easy to jam or perform alongside other software. Rename Controller replaces generic MIDI controller names with labels that match your instruments and hardware, so automation and controller lanes are easier to read. Faster plug-in handling and more flexible drag-and-drop speed up everyday tasks, and the redesigned Pool offers cleaner, more efficient media management. Cubase Artist 16 also supports the latest Windows MIDI platform, preparing your studio for next-generation MIDI devices in Windows 11. If you’re new to Cubase, Guided Tours introduce the interface step by step, and Quick Help provides contextual explanations in the Left Zone or a floating window as you work. Workspaces, key commands, macros, track presets, and templates let you shape Cubase around the way you like to work.
