Sony MDR-MV1 Open Back Reference Monitor Headphones

Product Description

Ideal for both mixing and mastering, Sony MDR-MV1 Open Back Reference Monitor Headphones are designed to reproduce each sound element exactly as it is, providing you with an accurate and natural listening experience. Thanks to its carefully tuned open back acoustic structure, Sony MDR-MV1 headphones offer a hyper accurate reproduction of the spatial information of every sound source. Plus, with an impressive frequency response of 5 Hz to 80 kHz, the MDR-MV1 headphones make it easy to hear every detail in your mix.

LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN FOR MAXIMUM COMFORT

When it comes to comfort and design, Sony has put a lot of thought into creating a product that is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. The MDR-MV1 features breathable earpads, making them comfortable to wear for long periods—even during intense studio sessions. The lightweight design of the headphones reduces internally reflected sounds and eliminates acoustic resonances while accurately reproducing natural, rich spatial information and sounds, virtualizing a speaker-based production environment.

SPATIAL SOUND AND MONITORING

The perfect choice for immersive mixing, MDR-MV1 headphones can reproduce each sound's position and movements in 360 degrees, enabling spatial sound monitoring. Additionally, by reproducing sound sources neutrally with High-Resolution Audio capability, each sound element can be monitored accurately, allowing you to capture the feel of the venue and space, as well as changes in sound details.

CABLES AND ACCESORIES INCLUDED

Finally, the Sony MDR-MV1 comes with detachable cables for professional use. The cable plug uses a high-quality 6.3 mm (1/4”) stereo standard plug widely used in production environments, and by using the bundled plug adapter, it is also possible to connect to devices with 3.5 mm stereo mini jacks. The connection part to the main unit is detachable with a screw system, allowing for secure connection and cable replacement.
