Product Description
Widely known as the king of polysynths, the mighty Roland JUPITER-8 has been revered by legions of musicians since its debut in 1981. The Roland JUPITER-08 celebrates the 45th anniversary of the analog legend with a special addition to the acclaimed Roland Boutique series. Offering expanded sonic capabilities and interface features inspired by the original hardware, this powerful mini synth delivers classic sound, hands-on control, and modern performance tools in a go-everywhere design.
JUPITER SOUND, MODERN ENHANCEMENTS
Backed by Roland’s latest technologies, the JUPITER-08 recreates the JUPITER-8 vibe in miniature. Featuring refined voice allocation and pitch behavior, this powerhouse creative instrument provides a rich, animated sound experience with enhanced polyphonic performance and genuine vintage-inspired character. With its flexible sound engine, the JUPITER-08 is a highly capable tool for performance and composition. Set the synth for a retro experience with architecture inspired by the original JUPITER-8. Or expand the polyphony to 32 voices to meet modern playing needs and craft all-new tonalities.
POLYPHONIC SEQUENCER, ARPEGGIATOR, AND FX
The JUPITER-08 comes equipped with a two-part, 64-step polyphonic sequencer that’s ready to create basslines, chords, and melodic sequences, with support for up to eight notes per step plus motion recording. And with the convenient arpeggio function, it’s easy to build dynamic, evolving sounds on the fly. The JUPITER-08 features powerful onboard processing for sound shaping and spatial enhancement with 17 MFX types—including the classic Roland stereo chorus—plus dedicated delay and reverb effects. The reverb includes a unique shimmer mode, allowing you to apply an octave-shifted color to the current reverb type.
PERFORMANCE-ORIENTED WORKFLOW
Dedicated controls, Hold functionality, and an intuitive interface provide immediate hands-on interaction in both studio and live environments. In addition, the USB-C audio/MIDI interface, traditional MIDI I/O, and an external clock input enable the JUPITER-08 to flow seamlessly into modern production environments. The JUPITER-08 carries on all the great design features of the Roland Boutique series, including a built-in speaker and flexible battery/USB-C power for music creation on the move. A K-25m keyboard dock is included, creating a standalone mini-instrument for on-the-go inspiration.
