Product Description

Completely refurbished and upgraded by Steve Firlotte of Inward Connections in 2024, including all new highly matched optos for stereo, all new NOS tubes, custom one-of-a-kind charcoal powder coat, fully recapped, hardwire bypass added, and all controls upgraded to premium Alps precision potentiometers. With the TSL-3 being the most classic of all Vac-Rac revisions, there is not a cooler, or better sounding Vac-Rac on the planet!

Add warmth and euphonic tube character to your tracks with the venerable Inward Connections Vac Rac TSL-3. Famous amongst professionals for making a vocal sit in a mix without the need for vocal rides, it imparts a wonderful character without sounding tubby. The elegant way in which it controls transients makes it a must have in the studio for vocals, bass, and buss duties.

It features just two pairs of controls - 'Reduction' and 'Gain Makeup' — making operation of this limiter incredibly simple. With no threshold or time‑constant controls, you simply turn the Reduction knob to bring in the limiter, and dial in Gain Makeup the make up the lost gain. The VU meters can display either the line output level or amount of gain reduction. The Vac Rac TSL-3 is 3U rack-mount unit with two large three‑inch 'retro' VU meters and two pairs of steel switches.
