From large recording facilities to small project studios, engineers and artists trust Mogami Gold Studio Microphone Cables for professional results. Engineered to provide an enhanced dynamic range with a pin-drop quiet recording environment, Mogami Gold Studio XLR Microphone Cables help to cure many of the problems encountered in a typical project or home studio.
Mogami Gold Studio XLR Mic Cables are wired with Mogami Neglex Quad High Definition Microphone Cable, a balanced 4-conductor cable with amazingly superior clarity and the highest cancellation of noise and RF interference. Mogami’s quad cable design is renowned for vastly improving the rejection of noise to the tune of a 95% quieter background as compared to even the best 2-conductor microphone cable.
Use Mogami Gold Studio XLR Cables for pro audio sound with nearly any device equipped with an industry-standard XLR 3-pin input or output. Common uses include to and from mixers, preamps, amplifiers, audio interfaces, loudspeakers, powered speakers, studio monitors, and more. Also excellent for use with amplifier, percussion, and vocalist mics as well as vocal effects, processors, and loopers.
Mogami has a clear-cut philosophy. Design cables that offer the most accurate signal transfer possible. This may seem like a logical goal, but in fact many cable companies alter the signal for what they perceive to be the 'best sound'. The problem with creating this unnatural distortion is that it permanently alters the signal flowing through the cable. The distortion may make a particular piece of equipment sound better at one frequency but worse at another. The essence of the original signal is lost forever.
There is no single magic bullet for cable design. Superior design is a mix of conductor material, dielectric, conductor and shield geometry, jacket stiffness, along with fanatical dedication to manufacturing quality. Only technical expertise combined with years of experience can result in the kind of performance that transcends the ordinary.
This cable works great!. I’m about .6 miles line of sight from a broadcast tower in a high RF area and some cables will pick up various noise which we really don’t want. With the Mogami cables there is no noise just pure clean sound.
Nice
I bought this for my new Gefell MD 300, and while I will always pioneer for good value options (like the Hosa stuff), after using this cable for my everyday endeavors, I see now why people pay the money they do for Mogami. This is easily the least fussy, most stable cable that I've ever used (and I have a live sound/drum tech background, so I've dealt with my fair share of crusty-sounding XLR cables that fail in the middle of rehearsals). It's akin to what the late Ralph Peterson said on a webinar he did for Memphis Drum Shop years ago in regards to Memphis BBQ: it's one thing to be aware of it, but until you've eaten the real deal, there's a conceptual void in your understanding of why it's such a big deal. I've always known about Mogami's highly-regarded offerings, but now that I've actually had the chance to work with their stuff, I'm 100% a believer. Granted, my favorite value option is still Hosa, but for my home setup (Gefell MD 300 > RME Fireface UCX II), and for anyone looking for unparalleled consistency, these Mogami Golds are worth the money.
Can't say enough about Mogami They truly speak for themselves. The best for sound reproduction.
Mogami,& Neutrik Gold. What more is there to say.. If you're a pro, then you don't need this review. If You're new to the biz. Studios are a complex assortment of connections, that can be overwhelming when something doesn't work.. These things might be pricy, but these connections are at least the last thing you need to check when something is amiss....
Always awesome cables. When you want to most reliable, there is only one xlr for me.
