The Latch Lake micKing 2200 is perhaps the world's strongest microphone stand performs flawlessly in all positions with the lightest to the heaviest of microphones.
The micKing boom has a clutch at the end which allows positioning of even the largest microphones at any angle. And with the Spin Grip microphone mount, you can quickly "spin" the mics on and off and enables 295 degrees of lockable mic placement at any weight.
The strongest in its class worldwide, the micKing boom clutch can handle even the heaviest of microphones with ease...without slipping!
Best stand I’ve ever owned. It’s possible I’ll only buy this brand from now on. So well made. So solid
Dis Ting Is Good Man!
I put off buying this stand for years. Now, I wonder how I ever make do in the studio without it. Worth every penny, and there's no real competition.
This stand has made all the difference in my studio. I have a very heavy large diaphragm microphone (Lauten Audio FC-387) and had tried the strongest Gator boom and K & M boom. They both slipped if I made a slight adjustment in position and it was so frustrating. I've used the micKing for two months and it is built like a truck! No slipping or worries about damaging the mic. Expensive but worth it!!
Fantastic stand. Very sturdy and adjustable. Easy to swap mics and a must for heavy mics. I can extend it to get the mic 9 feet high, hanging upside down. I like the relatively small footprint and ability to roll the mic stand around.
There are a few “sure thing” pieces of musical equipment. Things that simply work the way they were meant to and are built to last. An SM57 mic for example- I still have my first one from the early 80’s I think ... if it ever fails I can use it as a hammer. Well, the Latch Lake mic stand is in the category. It is the ONLY mic stand that has never failed me. You set it. It stays set. Period. Yes it is expensive - yes it is heavy. You’ll go through a dozen other mic stands that slip or strip out - and this one will still be sta ding
Good!!
