Adding Utility to your Eurorack modular synthesizer can vastly expand the control of your synth. Utility spans across multiple function of the Eurorack, from increased audio buffers, ability to add tap tempo to change the speed of the sequence on the fly, clock sync to lock all modular synths together, signal modulation, additions of ¼” inputs, balanced input and outputs, additional VCA, panning, crossfading between two modular sounds, stereo enhancement, and more.
If you are running out of space in your Eurorack, but still want to improve on the expansion of sounds, a separate desktop “mult” can be added to duplicate your signal, allowing you to send the same source to multiple LFOs, modulators, effects units, sequencers or more.
For ultimate control of the stereo field, look into a vector joystick or quad panner. You can add up to four sources into the same unit, and with the use of a joystick, seamlessly morph from sound to sound, or achieve in depth quad panning, creating a whole new world of sound design.
You’ll want to keep all of your modules safe if you plan to travel. Adding a flight case to your Eurorack rig gives you a peace of mind, offering professional grade protection that can keep all modules safe when traveling to your gig or studio session, and approved to protect all your gear when traveling by plane.
