Experts At Your Service
Have a question? Our Audio Consultants and Technicians have years of real-world experience and are ready to help.
Following in the footsteps of the Fairchild 670 and their own Herchild 670, the Heritage Audio Grandchild 670 is the next generation in a proud family tree of legendary tube compressors. The first stereo Vari-MU compressor made to fit in a two-slot 500 series module, the Grandchild is a compact and more affordable route to iconic tube-powered compression heard on decades’ worth of records.
PREMIUM ANALOG COMPONENTS
At the heart of the Grandchild 670 are two NOS military-grade 6BA6 tubes per channel and three custom-wound transformers. These carefully selected components give you the exact amount of warmth, presence, and punch you’d expect from a full-sized 670 unit, making for a reliable, low-noise tool for punching up your mixes or polishing your masters.
SIMPLE BUT VERSATILE CONTROLS
The Grandchild 670 features a streamlined control scheme that’s both inspired by its predecessors and updated for greater flexibility. Along with your typical Input Gain and Threshold controls, select between five different Attack and Release times and dial in your ratio and knee settings using the DC Threshold for a wide range of compression styles. Whether you want a smooth, transparent boost or a hard-limit squash, the Grandchild 670 is ready to deliver.
THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEGENDARY COMPRESSION
Built to last decades of use, the Grandchild 670 preserves the sound and soul of its predecessors for the next era of artists and creators. Try one out today and experience compact-sized tube compression for yourself.
