The GML 8302 Series II Two-Channel Microphone Preamp is world-renowned for its life-like realism, high resolving power, and reference-standard transparency. The GML 8302 has been reconfigured with front-panel-mounted phantom power and phase reverse switches, and the +48V phantom supply has been completely redesigned resulting in lower noise. Its all-discrete, bipolar transistor circuit topology is completely transformerless with no FETs, ICs, or electrolytic capacitors in the signal path. Even the outputs are direct-coupled with time-proven active servos that remove DC without adding any artificial color. 10 dB to 65 dB of gain is front panel selectable on the front panel in precise 5 dB steps. A +24 dBv clip indicator warns of any impending overloads. The 8302 occupies a single 19" rack space and ships with an external power supply (GML Model 8355) and a 5-pin XLR power cable.
