Barefoot Sound recently introduced a second generation of its best-selling Footprint01 and Footprint02 studio monitors. The ground-up redesign introduces new tri-amplified architecture, updated drivers, advanced DSP with SPOC technology, and a refined cabinet design. This is more than an upgrade; the Footprint01 Gen2 and Footprint02 Gen2 represent a giant sonic leap forward.

Following Vintage King’s recent launch event, we sat down in Vintage King Los Angeles’ immersive space with legendary mix engineers Chris Lord-Alge, Greg Wells, and Manny Marroquin, as well as Barefoot Sound President/CTO Thomas Barefoot. The pros shared their impressions of the new monitors, and Thomas discussed the design philosophy and development behind the next generation of Footprints.
