Making its debut in the Footprint03, SPOC, or SPectrally Optimized Conversion, is a cutting-edge technology that integrates an analog crossover section before the analog-to-digital conversion process, allowing high frequencies to reach the converter without attenuation. This small but significant change gives you a higher resolution, lower latency, and incredible clarity across the frequency spectrum.
Along with these new specs, the Footprint03 also includes the same specially designed Digital Signal Processor (DSP) found in previous models. With near-imperceptible latency, the DSP instantly processes every sonic detail in your signal with accuracy, full dynamics, and no unwanted distortion. The DSP also powers Barefoot’s patented Multi-Emphasis Monitor Emulation (MEME) technology to perfectly emulate the sound of classic nearfield monitors at the flip of a switch.
