Since starting with Vintage King in 2013, Chris Bolitho has been the leader of Vintage King's highly successful Post, Broadcast, and EDU team, which has implemented studio set-ups around the world. In addition, he has played an integral part of the expansion of the brand's Los Angeles brick-and-mortar showroom.

"As industry thought leaders in the pro audio retail space, it's important to us that our sales management team maintains an elevated expectation of excellence when it comes to how we interact with our customers," Vintage King President Ryan McGuire says. "Chris embodies that vision in every way and so it's a natural fit that he leads our sales department into the future. His immense knowledge and razor sharp strategic mind are a huge asset to Vintage King and we look forward to his future contributions to our leadership team."

As Sales Director, Bolitho looks forward to further fostering the company's approach to blending analog and digital technology. With a world-class selection of gear, premium tech support, industry-leading warranties, and friendly customer service, Chris knows that he and his team are prepared to usher Vintage King clients into the next era of recording, mixing, and mastering.

"Being a part of Vintage King is being part of something pretty extraordinary," Chris states. "Vintage King will continue to be the authority on the latest recording technologies and the best gear of the past, and bringing them together in a way no one else can. I look forward to strengthening the connection between our sales team and customers within my new role."

Prior to joining Vintage King, Chris Bolitho worked as sales and marketing manager for RSPE Audio Solutions, running their events and website as well as handling many corporate and professional accounts. He also worked in the UK as a sales & account manager at Digital Village where his clients included the BBC, John Paul Jones, David Gilmour, and many composers & post-production facilities.

Q & A

What is your favorite piece of gear?
I'm a Pro Tools guy, and helping a friend and client plan and implement a powerful Pro Tools rig, with a large format control surface, hardware inserts, plenty of DSP and a good selection of awesome plugins is what I get the most satisfaction from every time.

What piece of gear do you think changed history?
If we're talking history-changing inventions, then the electromagnetic induction microphone, and its counterpart the loudspeaker have done more to change recording and broadcast history than anything else.

The invention of the Analog to Digital converter, however, ushered in a whole new era of recording possibilities, culminating in today's high-end computer-based audio workstations – and in my opinion we're only realizing a tiny amount of the creative possibilities that these machines give us.

  • Thank you Chris, you've been great to work with and I appreciate how easy you've made this for me.

  • Just wanted to drop you a line and thank you guys again for suggesting that MOTU unit that we picked up from you last month and helping me get it all set up.

It ended up working out beautifully and made me look like an all-star with the camera crew down there. Locked up to their cameras for 18 days in a row without any trouble! You guys rule.

  • The Rednet sounds fantastic and was surprisingly easy to get up and running, and the iMacs are beautiful!

We really appreciate you making this whole process easy for us and being available for the
