The Neve Genesys Black is a next-generation digitally controlled analog recording console that combines legendary Neve analog sound with state-of-the-art DAW control for seamless integration into modern workflows. The G16 model includes 24 motorized faders paired with eight mic/line channel strips and 16 additional mix channels, each with DAW inputs for hands-on mixing via the Neve 88RS-style monitor section. The 23" multitouch DAW control screen and GenesysControl plug-in provide seamless integration with digital audio workstations, including Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, and Nuendo; while optional AD/DA modules deliver pristine 96 kHz digital audio via MADI and AES I/O.

As an analog recording console geared toward hybrid workflows, the Neve Genesys Black includes a variety of analog and digital inputs and outputs for extensive compatibility with microphones, line level sources, audio interfaces, monitors, headphones, and outboard gear.
Modular I/O cards on the rear panel include XLR, TRS, and D-SUB connectors for the mic/line channel strip inputs, direct outs, monitor outputs, DAW connectivity, and inserts; plus MIDI, USB, Word Clock, and more. Generous direct output headroom and insert send headroom provide pristine sound quality, and the modular system makes it easy to add or swap I/O cards to customize your Genesys console.
Made to integrate seamlessly with Pro Tools, Logic, Nuendo, and Cubase, the digitally controlled Neve Genesys Black recording console boasts advanced DAW control features. A 23-inch central touchscreen lets you browse tracks, recall console snapshots, and adjust routing via the GenesysControl plug-in. Built-in 16-channel DAW monitoring with dedicated faders provides tactile control and DAW automation, allowing you to keep your attention on the music instead of the mouse. The armrest features a dedicated keyboard station as well as a built-in jog wheel and transport controls, putting all of your most-used controls at your fingertips.
Premium motorized channel faders deliver precise, repeatable automation and instant recall when you open a session or jump around the timeline. Each of the 24 long-throw faders allows you to write automation directly to your DAW and responds instantly to existing automation. High-resolution tracking means every nuance of your mix automation translates accurately from your fingers to your DAW session and back to the console.
Derived from the flagship Neve 88RS console, the monitor section of the Neve Genesys Black boasts dual stereo and 5.1 monitoring paths, four stereo effects returns (with width controls, four mono and two stereo auxes), eight mono groups, and two dedicated cue mixes. The Neve Genesys Black's monitor section also features mono, dim, cut, and source-select switches, along with talkback and reverse talkback functions for studio communication. Comprehensive and intuitive to use, the monitor section of the Neve Genesys console puts all of the essential monitoring controls at your fingertips.
From input to output, the Neve Genesys Black delivers all of the iconic tone you expect from a Neve console. Each mic/line channel features genuine Neve preamp circuitry for bold and clear tone, a four-band EQ based on classic Neve channel strips, and variable high- and low-pass filters for precise tone-shaping. The optional dynamics section offers optical-style compression plus gate and expander functions, giving you all the tools you need to infuse your tracks with the legendary tone that Neve is known for.
The Neve Genesys Black can be configured with high-end digital converters, turning this already powerful recording and mixing tool into a capable studio centerpiece. Optional integrated AD/DA modules equipped with MADI and AES I/O provide sample rates up to 96 kHz with low-jitter clocking and transparent, artifact-free conversion that preserves every detail authentically. Converter modules are fitted directly in the console frame along with the I/O modules, eliminating cabling and reducing latency (compared to using external converters).
