The ADAM Audio A77X is a three-way active near-field monitor with two 7-inch woofers and a custom X-ART tweeter. Capable of accurately recreating an extended frequency range of 38 Hz - 50 kHz, the A77X delivers unprecedented clarity. Equipped with the same advanced technologies as the award-winning A7X, these versatile monitors are a favorite among studios worldwide.
A77X studios monitors utilize custom hexagon woofers. Each woofer is equipped with a proprietary honeycomb Nomex structure, making them extremely lightweight and rigid. The added durability allows A77X to reach extremely loud volumes without the cones breaking up or distorting. Each component in the A77X woofers are precisely aligned for optimal low frequency reproduction, so you can rest easy knowing that your low-end will translate perfectly to any system.
ADAM monitors are known for their famous extended-frequency Accelerating Ribbon Technology (X-ART) tweeters, and A77X monitors do not disappoint. These state-of-the-art tweeters are capable of accurately reproducing frequencies from 38 Hz - 50 kHz for world-class sound quality. X-ART tweeters are handmade in Germany to ensure to the highest quality construction. By folding the X-ART diaphragm, a larger foil can be used, which significantly improves dynamics range and transient response. This custom pleated diaphragm allows A77X monitors to reach maximum SPLs of up to 122 dB.
Adam A77X studio monitors are equipped with two 150-watt and one 75-watt Class D amplifiers. These Pulse Width Modulation, or PWM amplifiers, allow for maximum efficiency. These powerful amps also cut down on internal temperatures, removing the need for heat sinks and reducing the overall weight. A77X studio monitors use the new PWM technology and state-of-the-art input and filter sections to deliver the most pristine audio possible.
First off Vintage King's service was second to none. I bought these after having used their predecessor, the P33A. With the new speakers I also purchased the Sub10 Mk2 subwoofer. I didn't have the sub with the old P33A's and although they hadd a pretty good bottom having the sub is a revelation. All in all, the A77X's are even clearer and truer than the P33A's. The top is transparent and smooth and the mids tell you exactly what's happening in that most crucial area. The bang for the buck factor is the icing on the cake and I heartily endorse these speakers for a small to medium room, or a home studio (which is my current setup). The main thing about these speakers is how mixes travel to other systems and retain their sound. Now that I'm using the sub my low end travels better too. Bottom line: get some!
