You asked, we listened. Now, you can finally rack your API Lunchbox® — and do it in rugged, USA-made Vintage King style. Our exclusive Lunchbox® Rack Ears come in two versions, one for older XLR-only models and one for newer XLR/DB25 models. Whichever you need, every set of Lunchbox® Rack Ears is built tough to protect your investment. We make each one from heavy-duty 13-gauge steel, treat it with a durable black satin powder-coat finish, and add a bold screen-printed VK logo designating quality. It's the ultimate API Lunchbox® accessory, only at Vintage King.
How To Choose The Right Version
There are two versions of the API Lunchbox® — and we've made a set of Lunchbox® Rack Ears to fit each one.
This model fits the newer version, which features both XLR and DB25 connections and measures 14 1/8" x 7 1/4" x 5 1/2". The new model boasts an updated power supply with higher current rating, designated by an "HC" in the serial number.
Note: Rack will require 3u of rackspace in your 19-inch rack.

Nice rack ears for my API 6B lunchbox. Fits perfect good quality. A little confusing on the instructions but a 1 minute or 2 it’s easy to figure it out.

Perfect! I have the OG VK Rack 500 and recently bought a new desk which is all racked. So I needed to rack my 500 series, got them in ample time. Great instructions and quick fit! Looks awesome

This racking kit fits the bill at the cheapest price point I could find, and I think that they're cosmetically superior to the API offering. They are very nicely finished. For the prices being asked for some of this stuff, I was tempted to purchase a sheet metal break and fabricating the parts myself, but at this price, it wasn't worth my time.
The kit I received came with four bolts and star washer nuts. The nuts came in handy to mount the right side bracket, but I reused the bolts and washers that held on the rubber feet of 6b lunchbox. The bolts that come with the unit are just too long to be used for the intended purpose for an API rack, but this kit is also intended to mounting up their branded 500 rack. The installation process was pretty easy. I downloaded the API rack kit installation;sd followed those instructions, and did the installation while on a conference call. -
Would be a 5 star if not for a few hiccups. Washers were missing for the power supply side screws. The screws were not included for the side that use to house the handle. You are supposed to reuse the handle to secure the rack ear on that side. If you still have the handle, ignore this, you'll be fine, if you don't, be prepared to get your own screws nuts and washers for that side. Now that it's installed, it looks great in the rack and works as intended. Logo is a bit large, but you knew that when you looked at the pictures of it.

Only reason I couldn’t give 5 stars is because I could only easily attach one ear with with the given fasteners. You will most likely need to make a trip to your local hardware store and pick up some screws (same thread count/size as a standard rack screw) to accommodate the bigger holes given on the left ear if you have the 5008B. Did 4 stars because the ears are great quality material and are holding up my lunchbox WONDERFULLY.
