Pro Tools Artist provides everything you need to make beats, write songs, record, and mix music that’s ready to be heard across the most popular streaming platforms. This option is for creators new to the world of Pro Tools. You'll receive a new 1-year subscription which includes all software updates during that period plus access to Avid support.

Perfect for aspiring music creators, Avid Pro Tools Artist has everything you need to make beats, write songs, record vocals and instruments, and mix studio-quality music. The annual Pro Tools Artist subscription includes Pro Tools Artist software, which supports up to 32 audio tracks, aux tracks and instrument tracks, as well as 64 MIDI tracks for recording and producing music.

Pro Tools Artist also supports up to 16 channels of simultaneous I/O—enough to track a live band or mix a multi-track session. Speaking of hardware, Pro Tools Artist supports any Core Audio or ASIO-compatible audio interface. Finally, an annual Pro Tools Artist subscription includes Avid’s Artist plug-in bundle, offering more than 100 of Avid’s top plug-ins and creative tools for recording and mixing.

NEW IN PRO TOOLS 2022.9:

  • You can use Aux I/O for streaming audio between Pro Tools software and other audio applications (such as Zoom or Apple Music) and Core Audio hardware with Pro Tools on all macOS systems (except for Classic HDX)
  • Pro Tools provides improved integration with Celemony Melodyne ARA (Audio Random Access) editing tools for pitch analysis, editing, and audio to MIDI conversion
  • Increased marker count from 999 to 32,000
  • Quantize Toolbar controls in Edit and MIDI Editor windows
  • Clip Effects tab
  • Enhanced Edit Window Follows and Mix Window Follows preferences for control surfaces
  • Mic Preamp track control enhancements
  • Timecode Overlay X/Y settings for fine-tuning the Timecode Overlay position in the Video window
