Yamaha C7 Grand Piano (Used)

This Yamaha was specifically chosen for studio work by one of the LaBeck Sisters who played many C-7 grands in Yamaha's warehouse before settling on this one, which had the most even tone. Yamaha wanted their best instrument to be showcased in a nationally known studio, and this one was the winner. Since the day it was situated in the studio it has been recorded on one of Chicago's finest Neve Consoles. It has been used as a lead instrument for many years on national advertising campaigns (Coca Cola-It's the Real Thing, Kellogg's, McDonald's, Ameritech, to name a few). It has also been used extensively by Joe Vito who had many of his students use the piano for audition pieces to successfully gain entrance to Carnegie and Juilliard. The first winner of Star Search, Alyse Gyse, sang to an original sound track recorded on this Yamaha in the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. It was also used to record music for shows performed live in several large Las Vegas venues, Nashville's Opryland Hotel, The World Center in Orlando, and many other major venues. With that pedigree, this piano has a long history of success as a lead instrument, having a brighter sound than a Steinway (which is more of a blend instrument). Some of the finest pianists have played this instrument over the years and have raved about it. And it is still in pristine condition.
