While many claim to make amps that produce tones from the sweet grind of a vintage amp to the blistering leads of high-gain modern units, the Wizard Modern Classic truly delivers. With 100 Watts of EL-34 ear-blistering power, the Wizard Modern Classic can produce Sound Pressure Levels great enough to alter the genetic code of most high-order mammals.
The Modern Classic has two foot-switchable channels, clean Rhythm and Lead Gain with extended bottom end response. An additional Lead Boost switch is available when the only option left is to nuke the solo from orbit.
The Modern Classic’s front panel sports high and low sensitivity inputs, ideal for ganging multiple Wizard heads at the risk of destroying the Universe as we know it. A Rhythm channel gain control with pull boost and Lead Gain channel gain control also with Pull-Lead Boost let the user decide just how much he or she wants to pulverize a microphone and/or audience. Modern Classic’s tone stack consists of Treble, Middle, Bass and Presence controls and due to Wizard’s awesome design you can actually hear adjustments, even at outrageous volume levels.
Around back there is a foot-switchable tube buffered effect loop that just drinks up any pedal you jack in, like it was part of the amp. 4-8-16 ohm impedance output jacks so you’ll never be caught flat-footed, no matter what cab happens to be available. The standard Bright control for the Lead Gain channel is joined by a Bright control for the Rhythm channel on the Vintage King Special Edition Modern Classic
