Build quality, workmanship and function all great! I’m a producer and I travel with my 76. Goes in a Pelican case. This would have been a 5 star review except that there is no support for the rear of the module to keep it from potentially flopping around in the rack during transport. Some type of simple clamp would be a welcome addition. Until I make my own clamp I have to remove the module before shipping.
What a beast!!!!! I’ve got a few different mic pre amps some vintage neve 1073s and 1078s but nothing I’ve heard sounds like this beauty... it’s got this warm fuzzy character that I heard no where else before... now I know why this is such a sort after mic pre it just sounds amazing.... and the clean wooden box it comes with from vk makes it easy to take anywhere and record world class warm fuzzy tracks where ever you like !!!! I must say I actually love it 😍
