The Korby Audio Technologies KAT microphone is an interchangeable capsule system. The first of it’s kind to incorporate the matrix of a system that will accept both the Neumann style of center contact and the AKG floating diaphragm. A system to be used with a single amplifier, designed so that a palette of microphones could be utilized without the necessity (or the privilege!) of having an abundance of microphones at your disposal. However, practicality was not the driving force of this design; we believe you will be impressed with the beautiful tones these capsules will produce.

The Korby Convertible is the finest new tube microphone available. A revolutionary, interchangeable head design, available with a 251, C12, U67, U47, 800, and/or Signature Series head assemblies. The heads are hot-swappable and can be removed without the use of tools in session. 

One, two, three, and four head systems are available. They feature hand-made, ear tuned capsules, NOT Chinese capsules like most of the boutique mics seen in Mix magazine! All systems include PSU/Cable/Swivel Mount, and a flight case is included with a four head system. Tracy is truly the finest mic craftsman/capsule builder in the world and the last of a dying breed. There are a few self-proclaimed mic craftsman, but do not be fooled. Tracy Korby takes great pride in his work and backs it up every step of the way! The C12, U67 and 800 are multi-pattern, while the U47, 251 and Signature Series are cardioid only for optimum fullness.
