The GML 8304 Four-Channel Microphone Preamplifier expands upon the time-tested 8300 Mic Pre, world renowned for its life-like realism, high resolving power and reference-standard transparency. Affordably priced, the 8304 is hand built and calibrated in limited production quantities using selected components
The 8304’s all-discrete, bipolar transistor circuit topologies are completely transformerless with no FETs, ICs, or electrolytic capacitors in the signal path. Even the outputs are direct-coupled; proven active servos remove DC without adding any artificial colour.
From 15 dB up to 70 dB of amplification, the 8304’s input gain is selectable in precise 5 dB steps. It accommodates all sources from low output ribbon mics through semi-pro keyboards to inserts in super-hot mastering chains with one knob. A +24 dBv CLIP indicator warns of any impending overloads and switchable phantom powering is built in.
GML Microphone Preamplifiers are world-renowned for their life-like realism, high resolving power, and reference standard transparency. The Series II models are available as 2 channel ”8302” and 4 channel ”8304” versions.
