Product Description

Clean used examples of this venerable classic. The 1176 has been used on more recordings than almost any other compressor. Beautiful on bass, vocals, guitars, etc.

The majority of 1176s produced over the years have been the 'F' revision. The main distinction of this version is that the output amplifier is now switched from a Class A to a Class AB push-pull type, which gives it more output drive. Other characteristics remain the same as the earlier 'E' revision.
