It's a pleasure to be the first to give my thoughts on the Telegrapher Gorillas. First off I produce/mix/master electronic music. This is by far the most premium set of monitors I've owned. I've previously owned Rokit RP6's, Adam T7V's and Adam A7V's. The Adam A7V's up to this point had been the best monitors I've heard with my own ears. It was actually somewhat hard to imagine things getting much better. Then I received shipment of the Gorillas. I can't express enough how effortless they output sound. As you push the volume up they just sound better and better and don't ever sound "compressed" one bit. Listening to all my favorite songs and their curated playlist on Spotify is just truly an experience. The mids are extremely clear, the highs are extremely detailed and not harsh at all, and they go as low as 35hz and you can feel it/hear it no question. You don't need a sub with these, but if you want the extra sub feel then obviously you can't beat adding a large subwoofer. I can't express enough how clear and detailed these sound, the stereo separation and sound stage is unreal. If the mix is extremely well done, it will sound like a live band playing in your room. You can hear every pick of a guitar, every bow of a string, every mouth noise in a vocal. They will really present to you what a great mix can be, which will obviously aid you in your own work when referencing other tracks. About the build quality, it is superb. These things have weight to them, and you the soft touch paint feels extremely premium. You can hear the analog amp/crossovers click on when you power the speaker on, it sounds so pleasant and mechanical. Their aesthetic is unmatched in my opinion, and their sound definitely keeps up with their look!! I saved my pennies for a long time and my plan was always to purchase ATC monitors, but when this company came along a couple of years ago they caught my attention and I did as much research as I could before making my decision. After reading reviews comparing them to ATC I'm very happy I went with Telegrapher. Not to mention their customer support is amazing. Any questions you have they're happy to answer and they reply very quickly!
