The Tegeler Audio Classic Equalizer EQP-1 was modeled after classic vintage equalizers with passive components (condenser and inductor) in the EQ section, which accounts for its special sound.
The EQP-1 consists of three parts: Bass Boost and Cut, Treble Boost with adjustable bandwidth and a High-Frequency Cut. Voices sound silky, instruments step out of the mix and are clearly locatable without one turning them up. Deep frequency instruments like bass and bass drums get the necessary boost without sounding boomy. If you raise up the treble, it doesn't sound like lifted highs, but everything simply sounds fresher.
The EQP-1 is equipped with a tube stage and high-quality input and output transformers.
Besides the open and airy sound of the equalizer, the signal will get more density and additional presence from the tube and the transformers. The low end becomes more transparent and defined. The highs become more rounded and pleasant to the ears. This effect will already take place as soon as the device is in the signal path and even if the equalizer is not used.
Bought one and fell in love. Lives on my drum overheads. Bought another for vocals, and use it on mix bus as well. My vocals have never sounded more present and mixes have my best bass sound yet.

It’s unbelievable Pultec Passive style EQ. It’s truly tube smooth EQ. It looks very good with my API 5500 and Neve 1073/1081. I use it on any : vocal,acoustic guitar , el guitar ,bass, drums. Also I like to use this EQP1 on mixbus or mastering for tonal shaping ( smile eq, a little low and hi ) it’s a classic trick.Don’t think twice. Go invest your money for great sound EQ.
