PORTABLE SYNTHESIZER

OP-1 features four separate modes: synth, drum, tape and mixer. Synth mode lets you create colorful leads, arpeggiated rhythms, and evolving soundscapes using the musical keyboard. Simply select a preset using the eight sound selection keys for instant inspiration or create all new sounds from scratch using 10 powerful synth engines. Use the four endless-rotary encoder knobs to tweak settings like ADSR envelopes, effects, and modulation, all featuring an intuitive graphic display on the built-in OLED screen. Toggle between monophonic, polyphonic, legato or unison modes to create unique and interesting sounds.

PORTABLE DRUM KIT

OP-1 also features two built-in samplers, one for instruments and one for percussion sounds and drum kits. Simply select a drum kit preset from with the eight sound selection buttons and trigger a full kit of individual drum samples using the 24 keys keyboard. Create your own drum kit using custom samples or produce unique drum sounds using OP-1s innovative Drum Box, a dual oscillator synthesizer designed for crafting dynamic drum sounds. Each drum kit has four different sub pages that display sample waveforms, dynamic envelope, effects and LFO controls. Use the rotary encoders to tweak pitch, sample start and end points, or even playback direction in realtime to add movement to static loops.

PORTABLE TAPE MACHINE

On top of being a powerful synthesizer, drum machine and step sequencer, OP-1 also packs a fully functioning tape machine and 4-channel mixer into its tiny frame. Layer multiple takes onto a single track with unlimited overdubs. You can even edit clips and loops in realtime, just like in a DAW. Adjust levels and panning for all four tracks using the built-in 4-channel mixer. Mute and un-mute tracks on-the-fly to create full arrangements using just four tracks. Control low, mid and high frequencies of each channel using the built-in EQ, or add master effects like reverb, delay, compression and more. Apply drive to your track to add color and interesting textures, or add a limiter to increase the volume of your tracks without fear of clipping.
