As veteran recording and design engineers, Teegarden knew what they wanted to hear when they set out to bring the Fatboy Tube DI to the audio recording community. They, like many of you, have been missing the richness and definition of sound in modern recording equipment. A lot of this was due to a departure from proven classic designs, the use of substandard parts and a slip in quality of manufacturing. The Fatboy puts an end to these practices that were based largely on cutting costs and not improving sound quality.

I requested a modified version of the Fatboy that includes the same output from the DI Out into the Thru jack on the front so that I can get tube saturation on my signal back to my stage amp. The device arrived and had power failure within 15 minutes of operation. Contacted Teegarden and received prompt response with their commitment to promptly replace the unit. Received a replacement unit within 2 days. We all ultimately have problems and sometimes DOA and I think Teegarden represents what we all look for in customer service - prompt, professional and determined to satisfy their customers. Great job Bret!
As for the unit itself - lives up to expectation and hype. Excellent tube warmth and tone!
