The SymProceed SP-DI500 follows the technology of SymProceed's SP-MP series of microphone preamplifiers, which are highly acclaimed by top engineers and creators for their excellent fidelity, extremely wide frequency response, and ultra-fast nanoseconds response.
The frequency response covers not only low B (30.87 Hz) and G flat (23.12 Hz), but also the lowest note (16.35 Hz) of 88-key pianos such as Bösendorfer Model 290 Imperial - one octave further down the range producing clear, stable pitch. The high frequency response is also flat to 4 MHz, well beyond the range of musical instruments. Even sampling rates as high as 784 kHz can be faithfully converted to AD. The SP-DI is even capable of reproducing the nearly imperceptible resonance of strings meaning that the original timbre of the instrument and the tones and nuances created by the player's performance can be recorded without any loss of expression!
SP-DI500 uses less than 1/3 of components compared to standard preamps and only the finest components such as feedback resistors that are superior in quality compared to standard tip resistors. SymProceed pay strict attention to every tiny detail to keep signal uncolored.
Input impedance has 3 options to optimize sources from vintage bass guitars with passive pick up to high output synthesizers, etc. A hi-cut filter reduces noise heard in high-frequency such as string noise. Cutoff frequency can be set from 2 kHz to 24 kHz. Gain selectors with fixed resistors for each setting are used for audio quality as opposed to potentiometers which can degrade sound.
