Switchcraft StudioPatch® Series Bantam/TT Patch bays utilize Switchcraft’s EZ Norm technology, allowing the signal flow of each channel to be instantly modified from the front of the patch bay using a standard screwdriver. Now, all StudioPatch® Series Bantam/TT patch bays feature user programmable grounds, making it possible to customize each channel’s grounding scheme with the flip of a switch.
The Switchcraft 1625 offers a modular design that can be used as an individual 8 channel patch module, or mounted (up to 5 across) into a 1.5RU rack tray.EZ Norm technology enables signal flow to be changed from the front of each channel using a standard screwdriver, and programmable ground lift switches are easily accessed by removing the rear panel. Each module connects using two DB25 connectors wired to the TASCAM DTRS pinout. It is especially well suited for users who do not want to sacrifice quality, but may not have an immediate need for a full 48-channel TT patch bay.
I like it.
Nice
As a small studio having a flexible way to expand my current patch bay is great, especially when 96 points is overkill at this point. With DB25 on the back it's far simpler to use them my current patch bay (soldered connections to DL connector, then a DL snake) which makes connecting this up and trouble shooting much simpler. As well, the ability to switch between normal, half, and thru on the fly from the front panel is huge for me as my outboard is still expanding and I wanted flexibility with how to interconnect. Overall super happy!
