SSL Matrix 2 16-Channel Mixing Console

The SSL Matrix 2 δelta combines the superior sound quality of analog summing with the flexible workflow of digital control surfaces. With 16 line-level inputs, an intuitive Insert Router, and a 40-input summing mixer, the Matrix 2 is the perfect bridge between the analog and digital domains.

ANALOG MIXING

The Matrix 2 offers total tactile control over your mix with 32 channel inputs and 16 of SSL’s latest SuperAnalogue channel strips. Each channel is equipped with two line-level inputs and a dedicated channel output via DB25 cables. Each channel also features one stereo and four mono aux sends for flexible signal routing. Dial in the perfect effects levels using four stereo returns. Two stereo mix busses with dedicated inserts offer rich analog summing for 40 total inputs.

FLEXIBLE OUTPUTS

The newly-designed Insert Router is like having a 32x16x16 digital patch bay built right into your console. Connect up to 16 hardware devices and route signals to different channels as needed. Speed up your workflow with fully recallable signal chains.

Monitor mixes in stereo or 5.1 surround sound using two monitor sets of monitor outputs for quickly switching between monitors. Quickly reference tracks on smartphones or laptops using the 3.5mm stereo front panel monitor input. Create a separate monitor mix for performers using the built-in Artist Monitor section.

DIGITAL CONTROL

Matrix 2 is more than just an analog summing mixer in the shape of an SSL console—it also offers full control over Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase/Nuendo, Ableton Live and Studio One. Using a simple ethernet connection, you can control plug-in parameters using analog faders and pots.

Program advanced console automation using Matrix 2’s 16 channel faders, directly from your DAW using the δ-Ctrl Single Fader Plug-in. And with Total Recall capability, you can recreate any mix with the click of a button.
