Combining an advanced four-capsule microphone array with intelligent mixing capabilities, advanced noise cancellation and tried-and-true SSL EQ and dynamics processing, the Solid State Logic CONNEX goes beyond the capabilities of other USB microphones. CONNEX makes it easy to cancel out room noise, automatically balance multiple speakers for conference calls, capture multiple instruments simultaneously and record spatialized sound for immersive mixing. Four color-coded modes make it easy to configure the mic for different situations. Solo mode (white) focused on sounds from the front while using the other capsules to cancel out noise from other directions. Group mode (green) employs an automatic “smart mixer” to balance multiple voices while also reducing unwanted noise. Vocal mode (magenta) works similarly to Solo mode but is optimized for singing, rapping and narration at higher levels than normal speech. Music mode (Blue) intelligently alters the sensitivity of the microphone array to capture a group of musicians while lowering the noise floor. Additionally, all four modes feature an advanced Immersive setting which provides access to each of the four microphone elements individually for directional sound.

But, for all the advanced tech under the hood, SSL CONNEX is as easy to use as any other USB mic. The touch-sensitive, RGB-illuminated SSL logo on top of the pyramid-like housing provides intuitive controls for muting, push-to-talk and headphone volume, and a microphone loopback option lets you hear yourself clearly, even when recording overdubs. A universal USB Type C port ensures connectivity with the latest devices, and the mic is compatible with Windows and MacOS operating systems on desktop computers, laptops and tablets.

Standard quarter-inch threading in the base allows you to mount the mic on a camera tripod or other camera accessories, while the included mic stand adapter gives you even more mounting options. Also included are a two-meter USB Type C cable and a Type C-to-Type A adapter for backwards compatibility.
