The Soyuz SU-013 Small Diaphragm FET Condenser Microphone is the newest member of the Soyuz family. In a break from tradition, the SU-013 is available in both Soyuz signature cream and brass and in black, for applications requiring a less visually conspicuous appearance.
The SU-013 features a carefully designed, low-noise Field Effect Transistor topography and the rich sound of custom in-house created and crafted toroidal transformers.
The SU-013's classic internal transformer design creates a detailed sound that is robust in the lower frequencies, rich in the midrange, and silky smooth in the upper register.

I have a pair of 013 FETs permanently set up on my upright and I am in love with the way they capture the piano. I haven't even tested them on anything else because they're so useful on the piano and that's what I'm tracking on most frequently. Cheers to the super friendly folks at Soyuz and of course VK.
Great service and shipping. More musical than my Neumann km-184's. Highly recommended as a first pair of SDC or to those looking for a different flavor to add to your mic cabinet.
I originally bought the Soyuz to replace a pair of Telefunkens that were sent back for repair, thinking they would be a good choice to fill in while the ELAM260's were out. Turns out, we love them! Great on acoustic instruments, and percussion too. They are a different flavor than the 260's for sure, but every bit as good. Highly recommended.
Best pencil mics I've ever heard!
These are incredible mics... When used as overheads, they bring out the tone of the drums in such a great way. When you use them on everything else, they just immediately make a source sound great. I love equipment that you don't have to struggle with, and get out of the way so you can just create. The 013s do just that... They sound absolutely wonderful, and I truly think you can't beat the price... BUY THESE NOW!!!
Fantastic detail and imaging! Instant depth on acoustic guitars, pianos and drum overhead when cymbal detail is desired. Great mics!
There’s a great airiness about these mics. Once up as overheads on my kit, I immediately felt that what I was hearing was honest. But also pleasing and warm and vibey and as creamy as their hand-machined casings. My snare cracks, my toms ring for days, my cymbals have attack and depth. They come in a wooden box, with cards of who was instrumental in what part of the build process, including their phots.
