Highly accurate, versatile and dependable, the Sony C-48 is ideal for critical recording applications, especially music recording. With three directivity options conveniently switch selectable, the microphone allows optimum sound pick-up in diverse applications. Operation from both phantom and battery power allows continuous operation indoors and on-location. A pad switch helps safeguard against overload with high-level sources, while a low-cut switch provides compensation for proximity effect. Inside, a pair of thin polyester-film diaphragms assure highly accurate response to every acoustic nuance. Gold spatted, the diaphragms are resistant to humidity and other ambient factors for long-life and stability.

Additional circuit elements include a low-noise, high-gain FET preamplifier and an advanced transformer, assuring flat frequency response and high SPL handling capacity. The C-48 - for precision, versatility and transparent musical quality.
