Arturia Bus Transient Virtual Attack Shaper is a professional transient shaper designed to give you instant control over the attack and sustain of your sound. From tighter drums to punchier mixes, it delivers fast, musical results with an intuitive interface and clear visual feedback.
Whether you want to add presence, tame unwanted reflections, or accentuate an entire bus, Bus TRANSIENT brings punch, clarity, and definition without the complexity. Fine-tuned attack and body controls give you precise, instant punch and weight, with multi-band precision. Accentuate a snare, tighten boomy bass or add some body to a thin-sounding instrument. A built-in soft/hard clipper manages peaks and adds character. Keep your source loud without introducing unwanted harshness - adding warmth and saturation when driven. A streamlined interface and real-time visual feedback mean you get results fast. No menu-diving or guesswork required; every control is designed for an immediate production flow. Save time fine-tuning and go straight into Bus TRANSIENT’s powerful presets. From practical mixing templates to sonic transformation, find the perfect starting point for any sound.
From the initial impact to the decaying tail, the Transient and Body modules work in tandem to give you complete control over the dynamic response of your audio signal. The Transient stage lets you shape the very beginning of a sound. Increase the slope angle to make drums more pronounced, or decrease it to soften harsh attacks and push elements back in the mix. The time control lets you define the length of the attack, from a short, sharp click to a broader, punchier overall effect. The Body stage controls the sustain or resonance of the sound. Reduce the gain to tighten up roomy drum breaks and tame excessive ringing, or boost it to add weight and extend the decay of instruments. The time control defines how quickly the body shaping takes effect, allowing for everything from tight gating to smooth, natural-sounding fades.
Bus TRANSIENT gives you surgical control over the attack and body of any audio source. Whether you're working with drums, your mix bus, or bass, it's an essential tool for adding definition and life to your tracks. Instantly tighten a loop by boosting transient gain while reducing the body. Go further with multi-band control: add weight to your kick by boosting the low-band, and tame harsh hi-hats by reducing high-band transients, for a perfectly balanced and dynamic groove.
Add that final 5% to your master using subtle Tone adjustments to brighten or darken the mix. For transitions, get creative by reducing body gain and increasing the body time to create a breathing, sidechain-like pump that adds energy and movement. Give your bass presence and power by driving the transient and body gains. Use the clipper to introduce soft harmonic distortion and warmth, creating a bass that hits harder and cuts through the mix without overpowering other elements.
