sE Electronics sE2200 Cardioid Condenser Microphone

The sE Electronics sE2200 is a cardioid large diaphragm condenser, and an update to the original large diaphragm condensers that made sE Electronics a household name nearly 15 years ago, the sE 2200a and sE220a II C.

The sE2200 is fully discrete with all Class A circuitry to maintain it’s warm and pure vocal tone which was loved by artists such as Amy Winehouse. The sE2200 still uses the same hand-crafted capsule design and custom built transformer as the original versions of their classic microphones, now with improvements on the overall clarity for a more intimate, present and pristine vocal tone.

sE Electronics has also focused on making the mic hold up in the modern recording industry, which includes improvements such as a lower noise floor that allow you to hit the sweet spot of any preamp without extra noise or color from the microphone.

Two pads have been included (-10 dB and -20 dB) to ensure the proper gain staging no matter what style of vocal you’re recording. Keep the pads off for an up close and personal, intimate vocal performance, or engage the -20 dB pad if you’re working with extreme dynamics.

Choose between two high-pass filter options, one being on the gentler side with a minor sloop on the lower frequencies, and the other a bit more aggressive to clear out the rumble and mud which help prevent plosives or other unwanted room noise.

Also included is the sE isolation pack shock mount with adjustable pop filter, as well as a mic stand thread adapter for easily installation to any style microphone stand.
