Schoeps / Philips EL6052 Pair #1169/1244 (Vintage)

Small diaphragm tube condensers. Musical and detailed sounding classic tube mic. Nice on Acoustic stringed instruments, overheads, snare, hi hat, drum rooms, piano etc. Unusual swivel-head design. Omni and cardioid, with original plastic collar for use in cardioid pattern. 6AU6 tube. With new Hamptone PSU and new Gotham non-microphic cable. Very rare, especially as a pair.




The CM-61 small diaphragm tube condenser was first manufactured by Schoeps starting in 1954, with an interchangeable capsule design. Models with the combined omni/cardioid capsule, along with the swivel-head, were designated as CM 61 US. These were also marketed under the Philips brand name, and given the designation EL6052, while the attached CM 61 US capsule was designated as a Philips EL 6051 capsule.
