The Universal Audio Apollo x8p Gen 2 audio interface features state-of-the-art preamps with Unison technology, Universal Audio’s hardware-level emulation system that recreates the exact behavior of classic analog mic preamps. Unlike software-based plug-in models that only process your signal after it’s converted to digital, Unison preamps allow your microphones to react the same way they would to a real Neve, API, or Manley preamp.
