Product Description

The Roll Music Systems RMSB5T Vacbax 500-Series Tube Equalizer is a passive Baxandall-style two-band equalizer coupled with an all-tube, transformer-balanced output amplifier. All of the modules from ROLL MUSIC feature a unique two-stage tube amplifier based on the ECC832 (12DW7) dual triode which provides both voltage gain and output drive. The amplifier provides makeup gain after a buttery smooth passive 2-band tone control with a selectable high band (16k Hz and 8 kHz), fixed low band (150 Hz), and switchable high pass filter (100 Hz). The amplifier is powered by ROLL MUSIC’s proprietary high-voltage internal voltage booster, which produces more than 200 V internally from the ±16 V and +48 V rails available in a standard 500-series powered enclosure.
