The Rodec BUNK 101 features the 101 preamp and 102 EQ modules in a wooden enclosure with power supply. The BUNK 101 is engineered and assembled by hand in Belgium. It features 2mm of carefully painted RAL9005 aluminum panels, sturdy metal knobs all locked in a solid locally sourced piece of elm crafted by wood furniture maker Eletta Daemen.
The MX-180 was Rodec’s flagship mixer for more than 30 years. The Rodec M-101 Dual Discrete Phono Preamplifier recreates its phono/line preamp in a 100 series module, so it could be used in the MX Modular and as one of the two slots in the Bunk 01. But Rodec have taken it a step further: they added a second discrete phono stage that features a deeper and more relaxed sound, which complements the more party-time sounding original Rodec stage. You can switch between the two phono stages with a simple flick of a button.
Additionally, the M-101 includes the option to push an addition +20 dB of gain, to help get lower level records to level match. You can keep the original 0 dB attenuator too, by adjusting a dip switch on the board.
The Rodec M-1041 Stereo Equalizer module recreates the original MX-18 EQ with the low/high and presence (mid) built in divided sections to provide a larger, independent range of tone control. Don’t expect the kill EQs you find in today’s DJ mixers. This is a usable EQ to musically tweak your favorite recordings.
