HLabs PRE169DC SEPIA Preamp Module

Inspired by the legendary Studer 169 mixing console, the HLabs PRE169DC SEPIA's input stage is a near-perfect replication of the original Studer design and its fairly transparent sound with massive gain range. To add more fatness, it features a (BIG) Carnhill transformer in the output section, the same you can find in Neve 51-series console, all housed in a single-width compact SEPIA module housing. With over 67 dB of gain, it sounds great with all microphones including vintage ribbon and dynamics. The combination of input gain and output level offers a wide range of colors, from a very neutral sound to an old Neve-like character.

THE SEPIA PLATFORM

SEPIA is a platform built up of Modules and Hosts. Modules are brought to you by all your favorite manufacturers, while Hosts house them for all scenarios. Karno’s patent-pending Bridging Signal Flow between Module and Host creates a completely analog signal path, exploiting digitally controlled analog infrastructure, to provide a fully featured platform for the modern user.
